I build systems that help people learn, create, work, and belong.

For more than two decades, my work has focused on turning complex ideas into accessible programs, partnerships, and pathways across education, research, technology, and social impact.

Today, I work at the intersection of workforce development and emerging technology, helping connect K–12 education, universities, employers, research institutions, and communities to the industries shaping the future.

Building Talent Systems

New industries need more than research, capital, and technology. They need people who can see a pathway into them.

My work focuses on building that pathway: translating complex fields into learning experiences, career pathways, partnerships, and programs that make participation possible.

At UT Dallas, I support workforce and education initiatives connected to advanced manufacturing and semiconductors. Through the Texas Research Alliance, I lead workforce and K–12 development efforts supporting Texas’ growing quantum ecosystem.

The goal is simple: help ensure that emerging industries create opportunities for the people and communities growing alongside them.

From Ideas to Programs

Much of my career has been spent building where little infrastructure existed.

I have co-founded a public FabLab and innovation hub, led a social-impact nonprofit, developed grant-funded arts and education programs reaching more than 35,000 learners, managed cross-functional university initiatives, and worked across creative practice, research, technology, and workforce development.

My strength is taking an ambitious or ambiguous goal and turning it into something structured, measurable, and usable.

I believe meaningful change often starts with a strong pilot.

Rather than beginning with scale, I build proof points: test an idea, learn from participants, measure the outcome, and use the evidence to create institutional confidence.

That approach has shaped my work across nonprofits, universities, community programs, and emerging-technology initiatives.

Research & Responsible Innovation

I hold a PhD in Arts, Technology & Emerging Communications from The University of Texas at Dallas.

My research examined how wearable technologies translate human signals into meaning, with a focus on trust, interpretation, technology governance, and responsible innovation.

That work reinforced a principle that continues to shape my practice:

Technology may create possibility, but systems determine who gets to participate in it.

What I’m Building Toward

I am interested in the systems required to prepare people for industries that are still taking shape.

Quantum is one example. Texas already has strong universities, research institutions, industry, and infrastructure; the next challenge is building the talent pipeline through K–12 exposure, university research, technical training, and reskilling.

That is the space I want to keep working in: where education, workforce, research, technology, and economic opportunity come together.
